I am so happy that Solange Knowles is no longer looked upon to be JUST Beyonce's little sister. Don't get me wrong I adore Beyonce but I HATE when others compare siblings. I have an older sister and I use to despise when others compared us. We are two completely different individuals. Anyhow, before it use to be, "Solange? Oh Beyonce's little sister or that girl from Bow Wow’s Puppy Love video?" Now its just Solange Knowles: singer, DJ, fashionista, etc. I LOVE it! She is simply amazing and I hope to hear her DJ for myself sometime soon. She was DJing at the Brooklyn Bowl last Friday but unfortunately Vivian (who loves her too, if not even more than I do) was out of town. Sighs. But I’m sure she’ll be back and we will catch her then.

ReplyDeleteThis was one of my fave spreads she's done. It LITERALLY aborbed the whimsical NYC essence of fashion if you know what i mean. She's definitely an underated fashion icon in my book.
